About me
Ami Chambers has spent the past 17 years at the College of DuPage, where she currently serves as Program of Study Alignment Coordinator. In this role, she focuses on connecting Career and Technical Education programs with local high schools to build seamless, real-world pathways into careers. Before that, she spent a decade as Community Engagement Manager, creating social responsibility programs, leading events, and building partnerships that support both students and the broader community.
Before entering higher education, Ami worked for seven years as an employment advocate for individuals with disabilities, an experience that continues to shape her student-centered approach. She holds a BA in Communications with a minor in Psychology from Northern Illinois University, along with various professional certifications.
Ami is especially passionate about helping young people discover what sparks their interest and where they belong. Outside of work, she’s a dedicated travel baseball mom, spending evenings and weekends hauling gear, snacks, and plenty of ice packs.
